Trips to swansea - top 8!

I have returned to Swansea many times now, and I always end up in the same place... Mumbles (yes, it's as cute as it sounds)
I LOVE Mumbles and everything it has to offer - it's got everything; beaches, bays, coves, hikes, a city centre, a spa, a pier, and AMAZING restaurants! This blog is going to include my favourite things to do, places to visit, and most delicious restaurants... enjoy! (this is quite a short blog, as I wanted to include loads of pictures)

restaurants

The Mermaid Cafe, Bar & Restaurant
This could be one of my most favourite restaurants in the world (so far!) It's reasonably priced, offers AMAZING food and drink, and the interior is so pretty! The perfect place for date night! My favourite dish is the pasta carbonara...

Verdi's
Verdi's is the place to go for all food Italian - since pasta is my favourite food, this is where I spend most of my time. They also sell some of the best icecream i've ever tasted! The location is by far the best; on the very end of the promenade, just before the pier, with 360 degree views all round the harbour.

Fish and Chips!
I can't honestly say that I have remembered the name of every single chippy that we went to, but I do know that the best one was on the way to Rhossili. I know this is vague, but it's literally the ONLY chippy you'll find on the way there!

beaches and bays

Tor Bay
This bay is super tricky to get to, and i'm sure the route through the woodland changes EVERY SINGLE TIME, but if you can find your way down there - you won't regret it! Just make sure you take water and some form of shade, as it's not a very shaded beach and is an absolute sun-trap!
Caswell Bay
A beach that gets waaaay bigger as the sea goes out. Opening up whole new ends of the beach, it uncovers hundreds of caves and coves - a great place for rockpooling! (they also serve amazing fish and chips)
Rhossili Bay
I always make sure I end up at this beach every time I visit, mostly for the amazing surf you can get there. The walk down to the beach is pretty tricky - especially with a surf board, but the more you do it, the more techniques you gain!

things to do

Worms Head
This is one of the most exciting, difficult, worth-it hikes I have ever done. And whilst it's pretty risky and dangerous, if you've got some decent walking boots, and a little backpack just incase you get stranded - you're good to go! The most difficult (and probably dangerous) part of the hike does offer you an alternative route which takes a tiny bit longer and misses out the amazing views... just incase being eaten by seals isn't your thing.
The coastal walk
I'm not sure the exact distance of this hike, but it's pretty long so be sure to take snacks and water! There are plenty of places to stop during the walk for refreshments, and so many beaches to see that you can't really access by car!

I like taking fancy pictures on my new GoPro (that you will be hearing lots about) and sharing them with as many people as possible.
