There are so many stunning places in the UK that i've always wanted to go to, and some i have been lucky enough to have already been to. I have been working with YoungWomanBigDreams to bring together our top tips and tricks, as well as our favourite places to go in the little island we call home.
my uk bucket list
Youngwomanbigdreams feature What is your favourite place in the uk, and why? I love going to Brighton. We first went there randomly for a night out when a trip abroad we were supposed to take was cancelled. Whenever I am feeling down I ring up a friend and we drive down there (about 3 hours) and visit the funfair. I love eating fish & chips on the beach. The photo above is just before we went and hit the clubs. what is the one place in the uk that you would love to visit? I would LOVE to go to the peak distract. It looks BEAUTFUL. I also love the idea of an action packed day of hiking over all of those hills and mountains. I think I need to book a weekend break away soon. What's your favourite roadtrip song and why? OMG this is such a hard question to answer. It has to be a classic that’s easy to sing along to and has a good tune. I would say “Mr Brightside – The Killers” do you prefer the coast, or the lake district/woodland? This is a tough one, for anywhere else in the world I would say the coast but for the UK it HAS to be a woodland area. There is so much history in the UK, you never know what you might stumble across in a field or the woods. what is your go-to british summer outfit? Summer has to be a strappy floaty top and some hareem pants! I like to keep it cool and fresh. I’ll accessories with a choker. I like to be active so I think this outfit is quite versatile. whats your advice for someone coming to the UK for a mini-break? Bring a good rucksack and prepare for rain! Also book a B&B, there are so many great places to visit and eat you wont need to eat at your hotel.

So everyone knows that I get over-excited for Christmas, and this year has been the earliest that I've started my Christmas shopping! I found some great deals on the few bits that I bought for friends (lets hope they don't read this blog!) and I've included the shops I got them from, and the great prices I got them for! paperchase decs!I went to Paperchase because it's just the right thing to do during any shopping trip... and once again - I was not disappointed! There was a 3 for 2 deal on all baubles, so obviously I decided that these would make great gifts! I also had a £5 gift voucher from the lovely people at Paperchase for my birthday, so this came in super handy! teeny tiny primark haulI am SO in-love with Primark Home... my home is slowly becoming a Primark showroom! So of course I had to have a LITTLE look to see what it could offer me this week for Christmas gifts... Everyone loves a good candle, right? Especially when they're glittery and have a lil xmas tree for a lid! I also got a super cool diffuser water bottle too!
I tried to find the link to these candles online but I couldn't seem to find it! 26/10/2017 0 Comments mobility is the only disability?Okay, so I am aware that this may be a very controversial blog which is why I'm keeping it short. Before I start, I DO NOT want to offend ANYONE! I am only speaking from my own, recent experience with the rules and regulations surrounding the Blue Badge Scheme. The Blue Badge Scheme is a great service, as it makes lives that tiny bit easier for those who require extra room, or who need to be closer to an entrance. Unfortunately, I found out recently that these factors only seem to matter for those who have a mobility problem. Since my recent operation, I have had to learn to do things quite differently as I had part of my lung removed. So, as you can probably imagine, I get breathless quite easily, I can't get in and out of cars easily without hurting myself due to the limited room in a normal parking space, and I struggle to carry bags/other items for a distance. It was suggested to me that I should apply for a Blue Badge - so I did. When my application was received by them, I was sent a letter which said that I had been booked in for a physical assessment with a member of their team, who will decide whether I qualify for a blue badge. When I got there, I answered some questions, told them I struggle to breathe when I have to walk a distance from my car to where I need to be, and that carrying bags causes a lot of pain. Unfortunately, because my legs worked completely over a distance of 80metres (even though I was struggling to breathe by the end of it) I was not allowed a blue badge. I do understand that the whole point of it is for people who have difficulty walking, but I couldn't help but be reminded of the questions that are associated with mental health and other illnesses. Would the outcome have been different if they could see my lungs? My disability isn't visible, so is it not classed as a disability? As well as these questions, I had others. There are many reasons that people receive blue badges, sometimes even for a broken leg which is due to get better in a short amount of time. So of course, this is extremely important - but my respiratory system is equally as important as a broken bone, right? I would love to find out if this, or something similar has happened to someone else. If this has happened to you, why not fill out the contact form below... I have always loved baking, and it has been a while since I last baked a chocolate cake - but this time I wanted to try something new... I've noticed that chocolate orange cakes are becoming super popular, but I couldn't really be bothered to make up a completely different orange mix, I wanted to do it as quickly as I normally do! So, I did my usual and went straight to Mary Berry to find a chocolate cake recipe. You can find the one I used here. However, I didn't make the chocolate buttercream filling for the middle. I won't repeat Mary Berry's recipe, but I will include everything I used to make a chocolate orange mess!
