my first guest post // uk bucket list

There are so many stunning places in the UK that i've always wanted to go to, and some i have been lucky enough to have already been to. I have been working with YoungWomanBigDreams to bring together our top tips and tricks, as well as our favourite places to go in the little island we call home.

my favourite places...

  • North Devon
  • The Lakes
  • Cornwall
  • Swansea
  • Manchester

top tips

  • Always bring a coat!
  • Dress yourself with layers (just incase!)
  • Plan your route first - not along the way
  • Make sure you've got memory on your camera/phone
  • Revise the different spellings for the small towns

my uk bucket list

  • I've always wanted to do a Coast of my own, and travel around the edges of the island
  • Scotland! Never been there. Always wanted to go. Thanks to Balamory.
  • I've been shopping at the Trafford Centre, i now want to shop at Chester!
    • I want to live in Stratford at some point
    • I'd like to venture into South Devon and decide which half is my favourite!

What is your favourite place in the uk, and why?

I love going to Brighton. We first went there randomly for a night out when a trip abroad we were supposed to take was cancelled. Whenever I am feeling down I ring up a friend and we drive down there (about 3 hours) and visit the funfair. I love eating fish & chips on the beach. The photo above is just before we went and hit the clubs.

what is the one place in the uk that you would love to visit?

I would LOVE to go to the peak distract. It looks BEAUTFUL. I also love the idea of an action packed day of hiking over all of those hills and mountains. I think I need to book a weekend break away soon.

What's your favourite roadtrip song and why?

OMG this is such a hard question to answer. It has to be a classic that’s easy to sing along to and has a good tune. I would say “Mr Brightside – The Killers”

do you prefer the coast, or the lake district/woodland?

This is a tough one, for anywhere else in the world I would say the coast but for the UK it HAS to be a woodland area. There is so much history in the UK, you never know what you might stumble across in a field or the woods.

what is your go-to british summer outfit?

Summer has to be a strappy floaty top and some hareem pants! I like to keep it cool and fresh. I’ll accessories with a choker. I like to be active so I think this outfit is quite versatile.

whats your advice for someone coming to the UK for a mini-break?

Bring a good rucksack and prepare for rain! Also book a B&B, there are so many great places to visit and eat you wont need to eat at your hotel.
