16/11/2017 3 Comments murder on the orient express reviewI rarely get a chance to go to the cinema anymore, but my friend was free, and we both REALLY wanted to watch Murder On The Orient Express. I haven't done any reviews of anything yet on my blog, and i thought that this would be a good start. Okay, so how many stars would i give it? Probably like, 10/5 stars. No kidding - it's amazing. If you're into a good crime plot, with clever twists and turns, and a lil bitta humour... THIS is the film for you! the cast Avoiding all spoilers, the twist and the conclusion is incredible. Each actor/actress plays their role fabulously, and you really connect with the characters straight away - I think my favourite was Mary Debenham! I usually adore Penelope Cruz, but I feel like her potential was ignored throughout this film; she could have had a larger role without overshadowing the main characters. the setting The setting was amazing - it suited the plot perfectly. It also wasn't your go-to expectation of a crime film either. I loved how the entire film seemed to be filmed in just one place (after the opening of the film finishes) too! It was also nice that it was mostly daytime throughout the film, which makes a change to the usual, dark, have to really try hard to see anything sort of crime films. the plot I won't lie - the plot did SOMETIMES remind me of Cluedo. But in a good way of course! There is also a good mix of jumpy scenes, romantic scenes, greusome scenes (not too gross though, it's only a 12A!) and scenes where you literally can't take your eyes away!

First of all, thank you so much to Hebah Pervaiz for nominating me for the amazing Versatile Blogger Award - I read yours by the way, and it was great! Find Hebah's blog here. It's lovely reading through everyone's entries and finding out more about them, and I am super excited to get mine posted and shared! 7 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ME!
2. I have three dogs, which some may consider a handful. It is. A handful of love and fluff! 3. This might not be interesting to some people, but I don't really like coffee very much. If i do drink it, it will be something milky like a mocha, cappuccino, or a latte. Which is strange considering I really don't like milk! Wait, is that two facts or one? 4. I love my job and i love Mondays. I'm a digital marketing executive, so i get to do everything i love AND get paid for it! 5. I have never been able to sing or dance, but i went to stage schools anyway because it was fun. Cringe. 6. My main hobby is surfing, which i have been doing since i was about 5/6 i think! 7. I don't have a favourite season! I find it so hard to choose, as i love everything about each season equally. I'm pretty happy all year round. i nominate...
The rules!
There are so many stunning places in the UK that i've always wanted to go to, and some i have been lucky enough to have already been to. I have been working with YoungWomanBigDreams to bring together our top tips and tricks, as well as our favourite places to go in the little island we call home.
my uk bucket list
Youngwomanbigdreams feature What is your favourite place in the uk, and why? I love going to Brighton. We first went there randomly for a night out when a trip abroad we were supposed to take was cancelled. Whenever I am feeling down I ring up a friend and we drive down there (about 3 hours) and visit the funfair. I love eating fish & chips on the beach. The photo above is just before we went and hit the clubs. what is the one place in the uk that you would love to visit? I would LOVE to go to the peak distract. It looks BEAUTFUL. I also love the idea of an action packed day of hiking over all of those hills and mountains. I think I need to book a weekend break away soon. What's your favourite roadtrip song and why? OMG this is such a hard question to answer. It has to be a classic that’s easy to sing along to and has a good tune. I would say “Mr Brightside – The Killers” do you prefer the coast, or the lake district/woodland? This is a tough one, for anywhere else in the world I would say the coast but for the UK it HAS to be a woodland area. There is so much history in the UK, you never know what you might stumble across in a field or the woods. what is your go-to british summer outfit? Summer has to be a strappy floaty top and some hareem pants! I like to keep it cool and fresh. I’ll accessories with a choker. I like to be active so I think this outfit is quite versatile. whats your advice for someone coming to the UK for a mini-break? Bring a good rucksack and prepare for rain! Also book a B&B, there are so many great places to visit and eat you wont need to eat at your hotel.
So everyone knows that I get over-excited for Christmas, and this year has been the earliest that I've started my Christmas shopping! I found some great deals on the few bits that I bought for friends (lets hope they don't read this blog!) and I've included the shops I got them from, and the great prices I got them for! paperchase decs!I went to Paperchase because it's just the right thing to do during any shopping trip... and once again - I was not disappointed! There was a 3 for 2 deal on all baubles, so obviously I decided that these would make great gifts! I also had a £5 gift voucher from the lovely people at Paperchase for my birthday, so this came in super handy! teeny tiny primark haulI am SO in-love with Primark Home... my home is slowly becoming a Primark showroom! So of course I had to have a LITTLE look to see what it could offer me this week for Christmas gifts... Everyone loves a good candle, right? Especially when they're glittery and have a lil xmas tree for a lid! I also got a super cool diffuser water bottle too!
I tried to find the link to these candles online but I couldn't seem to find it! |
